Company History
From inside his parents' basement, company president and founder Charlie Walch got his start. Almost two decades later, he has a 300 person crew operating out of three separate facilities. Follow 1st Choice's road to success.

1989 Company was founded by Charlie Walch and named Executive Express, Inc. Operated out of Walch's parents' basement in St. Louis, Mo. Four Washington University students on summer vacation served as company's first drivers.

1990-1995 Executive Express moves to the basement of the Wood Drug Store in Kirkwood, Mo. Company has 30 drivers completing 400 On-Demand orders per day. |

1996-1998 Executive Express merges with Bozzay Delivery to form First Choice. Distribution and trucking are added to service offerings Over 80 drivers complete 900 deliveries per day out of headquarters in Wellston, Mo.

1999-2001 First Choice is sold to CD&L and becomes part of a national company. Charlie Walch remains as Branch Manager, eventually buying back the company and rechristening it as 1st Choice Courier and Distribution in 2001.

2002 - Present 1st Choice expands distribution services and opens a statewide delivery network with offices in St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield, Mo. Company continues growth through internal sales and select acquisitions.
